I thought it might be helpful to start sharing our thoughts, questions, and insights as we read through the various Scriptures God puts upon our hearts.
God tells us to meditate on His word. This process is one of reading, reflecting, contemplating, comprehending, and bringing it back up again to mull over some more. It is a thoughtful process where we are not rushed, but take time with God's word, searching it as looking for that which is precious and rare. I believe that God honors these times spent in dedication to Him, washing our minds even more by His word and giving us a better understanding of Him.
I am not speaking of grand formal interpretations or revelations of Scripture. Just a place to jot down our thoughts as we read.
I can remember a time that God gave me a word to share at a retreat. I hesitated because I felt that I couldn't possibly have anything of value to share. I was still new to everything and felt that God couldn't use me in that way. I was wrong. As it turned out, the word that God had given me was a blessing to some. So, don't ever think that you don't know enough or have enough to share. The smallest truth God reveals to you can be the very thing that sets someone else free.
So with that, I invite you all to share your thoughts or the current Scriptures you are reading. I am currently reviewing Romans, and will start with some of my thoughts as I read through Chapter 1. If you see things that you would like to share or have other Scriptures you are reading, feel free to post those insights. Just start your own thread with the Book and Chapter you are reading.
May God bless the reading of His word and strengthen our understanding and faith as we share with and learn from one another.
