Ex Ministries www.exministries.com/Ministry focuses on understanding the influence music has on people and the spirits that music can carry including hip hop, rap, rock, etc. The following is taken from their site: EX Ministries has been established to open the eyes of the body of Christ. This ministry is lead by Eld. G. Craige Lewis and specializes in exposing the enemy. Eld. Lewis travels the country, spreading the message of the enemy's deception and thousands are healed, delivered, and set free from the powerful message that he carries. This is not just a ministry for youth, but it is an eye opener that is essential to protecting the foundation of our churches and our relationship to God. Ministries are enlightened, inspired, and strengthened by the powerful words of Eld. Lewis and you are encouraged to live a life that is pleasing to God and fulfilling to you. Although EX Ministries is usually called upon to shed light on the Hip Hop Culture, God has given Eld. Lewis great insight on the Kingdom of God and God's people being aligned in preparation to reach the world and welcome the return of the Savior.

I've been listening to sermons of G.Price on Omega Ministries and i agree with what he says about G. Craige. He speaks against hiphop but at the same time, his background music for his podcasts or dvd menu or interviews is exactly like hiphop beats. I mean why use such beats when they sound the same as what you're speaking against. Just an observation i saw as well.

Hi Jesus Servant, I think that Minister Lewis has a pretty solid understanding about music and I have learned a lot in that regard from his videos and messages. However, I am only just beginning to see how music runs much deeper than I previously thought. There is an understanding by some that music itself is a neutral medium and that it is the lyrics primarily which shape whether music is Godly or not. I am not so sure that I believe this anymore. I recently posted a message which examines what music is and how it relates to God: thelatterdays.blogspot.com/2010/02/christs-music-or-satans-music.htmlThe bottom line is that music and even rhythm is to be reflective of the life of God and even the life in man; it should flow, be consistent, and steady. I am not speaking of legalism here. I am looking at how music is seen by God as an extension of Himself. If you have not had a chance to view the videos on that article, I would highly recommend them. Like every other area in life, it simply speaks to me of whether we as Christians are willing to separate from all that is worldly and really align our hearts, minds, and souls completely with Him? Is there still something we seek in the world or some acceptance we still want to have? If so, it will weaken our ability to speak for Christ because it will come across as compromise...and that is likely what it is. If our lives are not our own, then it really doesn't matter what we like or think. We must seek what is acceptable to God and prove that in our lives. That is my prayer for all of us, including Min. Lewis.
