Apparently the Euphrates River is drying up.

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”[/i]
The first article (that I linked) earnestly considers the Biblical perspective and asks “who are the kings of the east”? Most have speculated that the river dries up which then enables a military army to cross over (many say the Chinese and perhaps more recent interpretations have an army of Islamic jihadists seemingly fitting the bill).
I've been more inclined to think that neither is the case. From a logical perspective: how could any river in the world impede any army in the 21st century? What significance is the drying up of the river? Revelation 9:14 says the 6th angel with a trumpet will loose 4 angels that are bound in the Euphrates. I suspect that the "kings" of Revelation 16:12 may actually be referring to these 4 fallen angels (and the army of fallen ones and nephilim they will have at their command).
It does seem that somehow the trumpets and the vials are somehow related. Do a new testament search for "angel sounded" and "angel poured" and compare 1st to 1st, 2nd to 2nd etc. and notice the similarities.
Recently I had a notion that shed a little more light on how to understand the prophecy of Revelation. Shortly after Michael Jackson died, I was reading Revelation 9:1 which says "And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit."
It struck me that this "star" may just be the high level spirit being (entity) that hijacked Michael Jackson. What was also apparent was the fact that the 5th trumpet has in all likely hood NOT yet sounded. But what I saw was this - most translations give the impression of a star that "had fallen" (past tense as John is narrating and thus prior to the sounding of the trumpet)...and the idea that he had come down from the heavens (ascension via worship) and fell to earth (burial via the host's death). He could have also been give the key to the pit prior to the trumpet sounding. The key to the pit may actually be indicative of the amount of worship that this "star" received from the people of the earth.
Somehow the trumpets and vials seem as though they may have occurred, are occurring now and are yet to occur - all at the same time from an eternal perspective. And then if you look at it all from a sequential and rigid chronological aspect - by the time the 6th vial is poured out, seemingly at the very, very end of the whole ordeal, with massive destruction and billions of lives lost - what kind of impact would a 200 million man army have on the planet at that point?!? There would hardly be 200 million people left on earth anyway! At this point, these insane freaks are going to try to go toe to toe with Jesus Christ HIMSELF...
