This "show" is an Adult Swim animated television series created as a derivative of the popular comic strip from which it originated, the series premiered on November 6, 2005 after receiving generally positive reviews from national critics.
The episode I found most disturbing and downright offensive, was called "Pause". The plot has the Granddad cast as the leading man by mega-superstar of stage and screen, Winston Jerome. But when the theater group turns out to be a homoerotic evangelical cult, it's up to Huey and Riley to put a pause to it.
Yes, you read correctly "homoerotic evangelical cult". I couldn't keep count the number of times the words "in Jesus' Name" was said in the second half of this show as the character Winston Jerome prayed to Jesus.
I am doing my best to find a small clip to any part of this particular episode but feel maybe it's best that I haven't found one yet.
The most tragic part of this is the number of black Christians who will find this as innocent parody making fun of Tyler Perry as the Winston Jerome character has a cross-dressing stage character very similar to the Madea character seen in the stage plays/movies put out by Mr. Perry.
I still can't get over the "homoerotic evangelical cult"....OMG!

I have never seen the show, but I am really not surprised. One sign of Sodom and Gomorrah is that they became more and more bold in their perversion and open mocking of God. We sure are seeing these times in our midst now. People take God's longsuffering as weakness. With new "churches" such as those being started by the likes of Ted Haggard ( content.usatoday.com/communities/Religion/post/2010/06/ted-haggard-church-gay-sex-scandal/1) and popular "ministers" who cannot say homosexuality is a sin, the cartoon may not be far from wrong in theory. I am not saying it is okay to use God's name in vain. I am saying that the world can often see the hypocrisy in what calls itself the church before many in the "church" can see it. If it is as bad as you say, then it is likely a good thing you couldn't find the video. I just pray that people redeem the times we are in and understand that now is the day to take their relationship with God very seriously. We must focus our eyes in our Christ so that our vision is single; then we will be full of His light and the world can see Him as opposed to the darkness currently pervading the world.

A friend (Faith and Reason on Youtube) recently posted on this topic, and I am pasting some of her comments here because I feel they are right on and because I neglected to address the Tyler Perry aspect of the show.
I have never seen Tyler Perry's shows but what he does disgusts me as much as that Boondocks show seems to have discussed you. This man is accepted as a Christian comedian, when what he promotes is a crying shame.
I am not a fan of the cartoon series Boondocks, but I'm sooooo glad that they exposed the homo-erotic psuedo-'spiritual' tom-foolery of Tyler Perry. This 'queen' is a cross-dressing DL ["Down Low" meaning a homosexual man who pretends to be straight] pseudo-Christian who preys on the pain & suffering of lonely religious black women who are looking for love & romance.
How pathetic - The "black church" doesn't have the discernment to see that Tyler Perry is a DL man, nor do these religious church-going black folk (who laugh at his plays and movies) have the boldness to expose him....so Boondocks did *APPLAUDS* Yes....I applaud whenever unfruitful works of darkness are exposed...& this Madea character is an unfruitful work of darkness...birthed from the depraved mind of a DL man who hides his true sexuality in the closet & pretends to be a Christian in the daylight (who does he think he's fooling? - not the TRUE saints). Madea isn't "positive clean Christian comedy"...it's carnal, worldly, twisted, & it blurs the lines between good & evil...then Perry throws a dash of religious terms in his plays (i.e. God, faith, love, grace) to make it seem 'spiritual' or "Christian' - PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK ALREADY!
While 'church folk' are laughing at Tyler Perry's plays and movies, this man is dying in sin and headed down the broad road to destruction. Where is the love in that? Where is the concern for his soul? Are people so caught up in getting a good laugh and being entertained by Tyler Perry that they can't even see that this man is a closet homosexual dying in his sins??? It's a sad day when BOONDOCKS has more discernment and boldness than so-called tongue-talking, praying, dancing, hymnal singing church folk. People really need to wake up and get real.
Tyler Perry is not a role model for men or women. He presents a distorted image of manhood (emasculated and effeminate), and most of the women in his plays are feminist, loud-mouthed, rude, overbearing lonely women...no one should look up to these type of examples. Reality is that Tyler Perry has gone thru a lot of traumatizing events in his own life, but instead of seeking JESUS CHRIST for true deliverance, forgiveness, and salvation....he tries to VENT or release his emotions and thoughts thru this distorted overbearing matriarchal figure Madea, & other perverted carnal personalities in his movies and plays....each birthed from the inner caverns of his mind.
Tyler Perry doesn't need the applause, accolades, praise, and money of church-going blacks who are looking to be entertained...he needs THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST - As Jesus said...it is easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
