www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPEHw2mvdu8Is serving Christ about joining a secret fraternal order? So we enter salvation and mature in the faith by pledging, being "on-line", and participating in hazing rituals? Apparently Juanita Bynum thinks so. This video above is just living proof that the minds of men are becoming more and more corrupt. Throughout the religious arena, witchcraft is being heralded in what is supposed to be the house of God because "silly women" are being elevated into positions of authority to lead the masses into a delusion. Now is the time more than ever to be sober minded. "For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies." Revelation 18:3

I would have enjoyed to watch that video LDM but it was removed lol. I guess she read your post and felt ashamed and took it down. Maybe lol. But it's really sad what people do nowadays in the name of Jesus Christ.

I am not so sure that you would have enjoyed it. I certainly didn't.
You may be right. I posted some very straightforward comments about that video basically telling them how they had lost their minds and were leading people to hell.
However, I already downloaded the video and am using it in a video of my own, so I guess they took it down too late.

Paul I know LDM can give you a more concise and Scriputral answer than I but if we take the Word exactly for what it says and not add to it concerning this subject (as so many tend to do) Ephesians 4:12 says what we call the five-fold mininstry is "for the perfecting of the saints, for the word of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
My understanding of the bishop is the one appointed in the body to make sure that things are done and handled in the right manner, equitably and fair among the people. I used to think the bishop and the pastor were the same thing. Now a pastor can be a bishop and vice versa but I think they are two different offices. With that said, I do not believe a bishop is part of the five fold ministry listed in Ephesians 4:11.
LDM (or anyone for that matter), please correct me if I am incorrect in my understanding.

Tikastar, I wouldn't be so sure about me being able to give any better answer than anyone else. LOL
I agree with you that the text in Ephesians outlines the objectives of the five-fold ministry. My pastor in the past has referred to them as the five fingers on a hand working to do the will of the Lord and even the 5 smooth stones that David used to sleigh Goliath. In other words, they are each important and distinct roles which help to mature people in the faith and prepare them for battle against the enemy.
I believe that the general understanding of a Bishop is that he is an elder in the church.
As you alluded to Tikastar, my pastor has also noted similarities between the role of a pastor and a bishop. In his description, the the pastor consists of two "offices", one of a bishop and a shepherd combined. The office of bishop is for correction (evidenced in the symbology of the rod) and the office of shepherd is to guide and protect (evidenced in the staff). The pastor uses both the rod and the staff as a reflection of how Jesus guides the church.
"...thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4b
"For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls." I Peter 2:25
Hope that adds more food for thought.
