I sometimes get the question, "What right do you have to speak God's words?" So, I thought I would answer that question.
What right do I have to speak God's words? I don't see it as a right as much as a responsibility. It is not what I have earned, but what I owe. See, I was a whore, a fornicator, an idolater, a liar, and a murderer. By His own power and for His own purposes, Jesus saved me. And now my life is His.
Those who speak God's words don't do so with arrogance, but with reverence, understanding that the same words that proceed from your mouth can condemn you if you are guilty of the same.
It is not done with boasting yes still done boldly, for you realize the words are not your own, but that it is God speaking through you.
It is not done haphazardly, for you know that should you say, "God saith..." and He has not said, you will be held accountable.
What gives me the right to speak God's words? It doesn't mean I am perfect nor that I have all the answers. It is His love for me inspiring my love for Him, which He uses to share His love for you.
