Well, it certainly is. We went to the mall this weekend and things were all decked out for Christmas. In our neighborhood, there are buried skeletons in yards and pumpkins strewn about as they prepare for Halloween. As a family, we don't celebrate these holidays simply because they really don't have much to do with Christianity. We may use these opportunities to do things together as a family (since the jobs and schools are often closed during those times), but we don't "celebrate" the occasions. This is not said by means of dictate or judgment against those who do; it is just how we handle them. I think each person needs to seek the Lord on what is right for their families. However, we should probably be aware however of where these "holidays" come from and what they stand for. Unlike the other holidays which have pagan roots, Halloween is a literal, open celebration of the occult. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ypaYJyRTRE&feature=PlayList&p=F5A7AE3E9239F353&index=0&playnext=1Origins of New Years Celebrationswww.youtube.com/watch?v=1_BuQmljuDAOrigins of Thanksgivingwww.youtube.com/watch?v=KTfvMBBtCBQ
