This article was very interesting. I thought of how we (myself and others) make excuses for not helping people.
For example: a person loses his/her job and has to take one that pays less. We know the person has needs but we don't help because he/she didn't ask for help. We may use the excuse "well I don't know what they need". Well, we know the person needs food and gas. Why wait until he/she asks. OR we may say that the person should be doing this or doing that to get back into the flow OR we may say that since the person doesn't want to tell about all their hardships then we shouldn't help at all.
But if we know someone is in need why should any of the above matter?
Why do I need to know all the ins and outs of their financial struggles if I know the person has to feed their children off of less than they were once making. Why should the person have to ask me for help if I know they need help to make it? Why do I think that the person needs to do things my way in order for me to assist them?
So what's the problem? We really didn't want to help in the first place. So we found excuses.

Yup, we sure can find ways to give excuses to justify us not doing what God leads us to do. If we really want to see god move and lives changed, we have to make the decision to not just believe but obey God's words. It is the doer of His words which is blessed in His doing. And quite honestly, I am just sick of seeing so many lost while the world goes to hell in a handbasket.
