I can identify so much with many aspects of your testimony. I believe that part of the catholic schools goals is to recruit priests and nuns. I know they sure did during my educational career. As you say, He is directing our paths all along.
God Bless!

Hello all, I am reed; very late twenties, single, living in the UK. I believe in God and that Jesus is His son sent to redeem us from our sins, and have officially tried to "turn my life" over to Him since April last year (no, it wasn't an April's fool thing!). It has been an uneven ride of me seemingly making progress in learning about, accepting and trying to follow God, and then periods of relapse and sin. I have never regularly attended church in the past. Now I think I would like to, but I am a bit weary of going to a church that does not truly teach the word of God as I am so young in faith and understanding. I have enjoyed reading much of the posts here for a good while now. English is not my first language so I might use strange expressions here and there

ummmm what to say? I have been serving the Lord since 1977. The journey has been awsome. I am a mother of 7 children, I lost my oldest son when he was 28 to a car accident. I raised the children with the help and strength of our Lord. (x husband was a deadbeat) I cannot say all there is to testify about the Lord...not enough time. I would like to say that I believe the Lord has sent me to this message board for fellowship and learning, and I am grateful for that. The Lord called me out of organized religion over twenty years ago. We know the world is in gross darkness and I believe I have seen some light here. Looking forward to getting to know those who seek truth. May the Lord Jesus be lifted up...and not ourselves LadyV

Hi LadyV,
Thanks for joining! Yes, the world is in great darkness, yet it is also in such times where the light of Christ is much more bright. I also came out of organized religion and have enjoyed coming to understand what true fellowship is since God first came to get me from it.
Feel free to post as you feel led. You will find a number of individuals who share your objectives to exalt Jesus. God Bless!

Hello, I have really enjoyed the few Threads I have read here and I am in agreement with your statement of faith. As I have time I will be getting aquainted with more of the Threads and when led I will respond to some.
I am a born again spirit filled believer, I love the Lord Jesus Christ, He is very precios to me. He is the only way to the Father, our sacrificial Lamb, who made a way for us back to our Heavenly Father. I will be forever greatful.
As my usernamer, to my joy, he is my Lord and my King. I wait and watch, patiently for his return.
I am married to my wonderful husband and the mother of two children and have been blessed with six grandchildren.
I believe as you, we are in the end of days , close to what Jesus spoke of to his disciples in his Olivet disclosure.
I have a heart for Israel and believe she is the Key player to end time prophecy.
I love God's word and take it litterly, to mean exactly what he has said.
I am an intercessor, believe in the power of prayer and I am very interested in the book of Revelations, and take the message of the seven churches to be for the church then and for the whole church age before Christ returns.
I love the body of Jesus Christ and pray we all overcome and hear "welcome good and faithful servant."
May we be encouraged in Him and seek him daily, and have a real passion for his word and his appearing.
I pray we love and encourage one another in our most holy faith,, exort all to finish the race set before us,, to love one another and to hold each other up in these perolous days ahead to be in such unity that we strengthen each other in him and his promises. Psalm 91 I pray for all of us.
Well I have said enough , I look forward to getting to know you. May the Lord Bless you and keep you in the safety of the palms of his hands, Lynn

G’Day, My name is Tim and I live in a country town in Australia. I have contributed to various blogs and forums under the name of “Onesimus” for several years.
My Christian involvement began in the early 1970s, became more serious in 1977 and then led to many confused years of instability. In my search for an authentic Christianity I became involved with a few different Pentecostal churches that preached powerfully but lived powerlessly. I became involved with WOF, which seemed to offer some answers but used those answers for the wrong purposes.
I then entered a 15 year period of disillusionment away from any Christian contact, a time where I continually cried out to God for assurance that He was really there, but I seemed to get no answer. That time of apparent silence came to an end during a family crisis after which I tried to find suitable Christian fellowship. All doors seemed to close for one reason or another. For a time the only regular contact I had with believers was through a Christian forum, an experience that opened my eyes in many ways. I was exposed to all manner of weird and not so wonderful doctrines and a variety of questionable characters, as well as finding some good friends. This experience helped me to be diligent in making sure my doctrinal foundations were securely anchored in God’s word.
I came to realise that the instability of my faith in earlier years had been caused by two major factors: 1) Personal laziness linked to 2) Relying too much on what others were teaching instead of searching the scriptures myself.
In recent years I have had some involvement with two churches. The first was a charismatic fellowship that followed every “christian” fad that came along. I left after their pastor studied at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship and started promoting their teachings instead of biblical teaching. From there I went to a traditional denomination heavily steeped in Calvinism. These experiences of totally different churches gave me further insight into the way man’s theologies corrupt the gospel and portray a distorted image of God and His ways.
The most valuable lessons I’ve been learning is that the Holy Spirit is much more reliable teacher than any man; that scripture means what scripture says and we shouldn’t be reinterpreting it to fit a desired belief; and that God will use Spirit led Christians to confirm or correct what we think we have been learning from His word by His Spirit. I have found that all doctrinal controversy arises when man’s tradition and theology is elevated above the revelation we have been given clearly and simply in scripture.

Hi Lynn,
Welcome to the board! We can always use more intercessors as I believe that prayer is what is going to propel much of God's work in these last days. Much of your introduction in fact could have been my own (except for the grandchildren part). :-) Please feel free to contribute as you are led for this is primarily a place to share and grow in the Lord as you say.
God Bless! Mia

Hi Tim,
What an amazing journey in the Lord. For some reason, I have seen a strong resurgence in Calvinist doctrines among Christians; that and a returning to the law. It seems as if many know that the time is near and are desperately seeking to find what is "right". Yet, I believe as you do. While God can certainly use man and speak through Him, the Holy Spirit is promised to be our teacher who will lead us into all truth. We must never let any person take that place in our lives, in terms of being the arbiter of truth for God.
May we edify each other but always let God be God.
Welcome to our forum and I look forward to sharing more with you in the future!

I joined this blog a few months ago. I never did introduce myself!! I am a born again believer! I am a wife, a mother of two small children Jordan and Kennidy. I love to read this blog because it is hard to find people who are truly believers with their hearts. Many people say a lot of things, but their hearts are far from God and you can tell that by their disobedience to his word. Now I don't mean that we get it right every time, but I do mean that there should be no deliberate, intentional disobedience to God's word. I love to get on here and read what other believers are thinking and saying in these last days. It seems that every church I attend there is foolishness being spoken from the pulpit. The pastors are blind and therefore majority of the followers are blind. My husband and I have chosen to not fellowship in a building so much. Not like we use to, and boy are we facing persecution for that. People think we are not saved because we choose not to attend the building for what they call worship. Well I can go on and on but that is just a little about me. Can't wait to share more with you all!
