We are not the "Latter Day Saints" or Mormons. The ministry is called Latter Days because we are in the latter days. This message board was created in response to requests from visitors to our blog: The Latter Days Ministry at http://thelatterdays.blogspot.com.
The Latter Days is a Christian ministry dedicated to preparing God's people for the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to sound the trumpet and call the Bride into preparations for the end times which are at hand.

Greek Letter Organizations

On a purely surface level, these are secret, exclusive organizations. Secret meaning that things are hidden or done in darkness and exclusive meaning it is not open to all, but only its initiated members. Christ does nothing in secret and He says that all things which are hidden shall be brought to the light. Neither is Christianity exclusive, but is open to all who will place faith in jesus.

Consider this as well. What does it mean to be initiated? An initiation is the ceremonies or rituals of admission. A ritual is an established or prescribed procedure for a religious or other rite. Even those who have been initiated will tell you that there is a spiritual overtone to joining one of these organizations.

All Greek organizations incorporate idolatrous practices into their rituals. There are vows and allegiances done to false gods/goddesses and/or religions. Further, there are strict parallels between the rites in those organizations and the rites in Freemasonry.

Based on my initial research, the Black Greek organizations seem to have their origins in an organization called the Boule (http://www.sigmapiphi.org/home/).

The Boule is alleged to have been formed as an offshoot of the Skull and Bones organization. In other words, it is supposed to be the Black version of the Skull and Bones. I say that this is alleged because I am still researching this and this reflects what I have seen so far.

Here is a video series where one woman speaks of why she left her sorority. As a Haitian by nationality, she was surprised by how similar the sorority rituals were to the voodoo and witchcraft she had seen growing up.

Thanks for this upload!! It just so happens that the same Greek sorority my two cousins are in and the one I was about to join myself is the one discussed in the youtube video. What a coincidence. Anywho thanks again for the information.

Wow! I haven't looked at the videos yet but I did hear of something by Craig Lewis that discussed something similiar.

I'm a member of a Black Greek Letter organization and this is something I really have to pray on.

Please pray for me that God's will is done, because that is the most important thing to me.

I never joined one of these organizations, so I have no first-hand knowledge.

I know people who belong to these and what I have heard from others has been consistent (i.e., initiations involving vows to other gods/goddessess/religions, pagan spiritual ceremonies like "crossing the sands", enacting resurrection death/life type scenarios, etc.). While a few I know have left those affiliations, most just think it is not that serious.

Feel free to share anything you find out or what you feel God is leading you to do. I am sure your experience would be helpful to others.

HI, I've been reading this blog for some while now but I never noticed the message board section until today. I always had a aversion to the idea of sorieties and fraternities - never quite knew why (Mainly the hazing aspects, I just couldn't see myself doing that just to get friends or to network) I so happened to see the youtube videos mentioned above for the first time earlier today! God is good! I'd urge you all to watch the entire series. I've been on a quest for truth and answers lately almost to the point of obsession. I am finding out something new each day.

I felt exactly as you describe. I never understood why I had to let somebody beat me down in order for them to call me "sister". To me, that whole part just made no sense. I guess it was God's hand on me giving me SOME sense, even before I knew Him. LOL

We each learn more about Jesus each day, so please don't hesitate to share your own personal revelations.
