We are not the "Latter Day Saints" or Mormons. The ministry is called Latter Days because we are in the latter days. This message board was created in response to requests from visitors to our blog: The Latter Days Ministry at http://thelatterdays.blogspot.com.
The Latter Days is a Christian ministry dedicated to preparing God's people for the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to sound the trumpet and call the Bride into preparations for the end times which are at hand.

So I was too sure exactly where to post this but here goes:

I have recently been following a blog titled Eternal Perspectives (randyalcorn.blogspot.com). Haven't really dove in to everything to see if I want to continue to follow (everything that looks like Truth isn't always so) but so far I am enjoying what I have seen on this blog page. Ok, so to heaven, the gentleman that authors this blog is Randy Alcorn. I don't know anything about him really but that he writes books and has excerpts on this site of the books he has written. One, in particular, is entitled Heaven. I read the excerpt and thought is was a good read...it sparked something in me to really ponder on and study over the next couple of days. It is a ten page excerpt of the first chapter but the font it big so its a fast read. I just wanted to share this with you all. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks Tika! You know, I never really thought of Heaven. I think of Jesus all the time and being able to be with Him ALL the time.

But I never really think about what Heaven is like, and as I ponder it, I cannot say that I have a solid, Scriptural picture of it. I'll check this out too!

Yeah I totally understand that....I honestly never thought it was anything to question. I never pondered much about what heaven was like, and much like you I all I am really concerned with was that Jesus would be there so that's where I'm trying to be.

I guess I was surprised that there were people, namely Christians???, that had an adverse opinion about Heaven...that was just crazy to me. I was like you guys are tripping and clearly don't know Jesus.

Either way I thought it was an interesting write up.
